As a complex and growing global enterprise, we have a new opportunity for a President, Real Estate, to join our organization as a key member of the senior management team. The President, Real Estate will be responsible for developing, driving, and executing the firm’s real estate investment and services strategies.
The President, Real Estate will increase our penetration and effectiveness in retail and restaurant lease mitigation and disposition via a combination of employed resources, expert consultants, and our Real Estate division's alliance with Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL). The objective is less about maximizing volume of low-fee engagements and more about driving above-market fee opportunities and providing and underwriting guaranteed lease resolutions for clients.
The President, Real Estate will collaborate closely with other divisional and jurisdictional leaders and business development executives to identify and assess deal opportunities and build support for the division’s strategic objectives. Starting with the existing United States retail and restaurant lease disposition team, the President, Real Estate will build a team of professionals to support the overall real estate strategy.
Initial areas of intra-company collaboration include working with the retail inventory/fixtures practice on joint guarantee solutions for retailers, the commercial & industrial practice on non-retail real estate opportunities, the appraisal practice on fee-owned and lease valuations, and the international teams (Europe, Australia and South America) on non-US/Canada real estate solutions. Our real estate division also enjoys a strategic alliance with JLL’s North American retail practice which the President, Real Estate will be responsible for managing and maximizing.
Additionally, our Real Estate division is seeking value-based, below-market opportunities to dispose, acquire, restructure, or develop properties and leases sourced by the team through the broader Gordon Brothers network from distressed and proprietary situations.
