The Senior Director, Real Estate is a key member of our client’s Real Estate leadership team and is responsible for leading a team of professionals to manage the real estate portfolio of all of our client’s brands. Other responsibilities include participating in North America Real Estate Committee meetings, partnering with VP and SVP of Real Estate to develop and drive our client’s portfolio strategies and new store initiatives, owning relationship with key strategic landlords, and working cross-functionally to ensure timely and effective operations.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads team of on-site and remote Real Estate professionals
Be the liaison and own the relationship with key landlords/real estate companies
Ensure seamless coordination between Real-Estate Deal Making Team, Real-Estate Operations, and Retail Brand Leadership
Supports the Vice President in the creation and implementation of a strategic fleet optimization plan and objectives
Works closely with brand leadership teams in creating plans to optimize and grow each fleet and our client’s portfolio
Serves as an active member of the Real Estate Committee, ensuring strategic alignment and negotiation completeness of each real estate action
Improves business acumen of Retail Service teams through dissecting business into easy-to-understand key drivers and actively coaching team members. Has the desire to help others develop into business leaders.
Increase the efficiency of workstreams in the Real Estate functions
Participates in or leads strategic / tactical business initiatives that provide broad-based value for the Retail Service teams.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MBA preferred
12+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, preferably Retail
Experience at a large retail company with a national footprint
High-energy business professional with a proven track record of successful business management, process improvement and adding value to the business
Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide deep insights that result in improved results
Ability to understand the business at a strategic and detailed level
Ability to effectively summarize their detailed business understanding into executive-level presentations with insightful perspective
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; Can effectively participate on cross-functional brand projects
Outstanding business acumen & critical thinking skills; brings logical solutions to business issues
Demonstrated business leader and team player
Presentation skills; experienced in creating & delivering effective presentations for senior management
Proven track record of improving processes & creating value beyond the immediate area of influence
Will require < 40% travel
