CallisonRTKL Architects P.C. seeks a senior level Lighting Design Manager with architectural lighting design experience to join its team in New York City. While the position is focused on the design and delivery of mid-to-large scale luxury retail projects, the lighting design team is growing and works cross-sector with our retail, commercial, healthcare and workplace teams.

•Manages lighting team during all phases of a project, from concept design through project administration •Maintains a commitment to keeping current with new products and trends within the lighting design field •Works closely with senior level staff to review work for design integrity, accuracy, clarity and quality •Manages project team members regarding schedules, scope, project deadlines and coordinates changes to the project •Provides lighting design solutions appropriate to client standards and budget •Writes and coordinates lighting specifications •Directs and reviews the work of junior lighting designers providing guidance as appropriate •Coordinates with reps and manufacturers on lighting specifications and samples •Assists with coordination throughout project with team architects, manufacturers, and contractors
•Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related design field •8+ years lighting design-related experience •Strong retail interior lighting experience •Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Strong project management skills •Effective problem solver with high level of organization and multi-tasking abilities •Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interface with clients and employees •Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships •Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, AGI, Affinity, Microsoft Word and Outlook •Include portfolio with application
