Our client is currently seeking a confident and results-oriented Leasing Associate to join their leasing team. The Leasing Associate will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Leasing and will be responsible for securing new tenants for assigned developments.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Build and maintain superior market knowledge of assigned developments by collecting, analyzing and translating complex information from internal and external resources.
Identify and procure the type of tenant that would complement the tenant mix at developments based upon superior market analysis and knowledge.
Create sound marketing materials to attract the “right” tenant.
Provide creative and innovative solutions in a changing environment.
Negotiate lease terms with new tenants and existing tenants.
Develop and maintain relationships with tenants and prospective tenants.
Review and understand financial reports, agreements, and lease agreements.
Candidates must have:
3-5 years of retail leasing experience, preferably with a firm that has handled a sophisticated leasing pipeline.
A four-year degree in real estate, business, finance, marketing, legal, retail, or a related field is preferred
A demonstrated interest in the retail industry.
Strong interpersonal skills.
A strong drive for results and enjoys working in a fast-paced and intense environment.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
A valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the United States.
