Assist in all aspects of daily bookstore operations in a professional and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures of the bookstore and the college. Provide exceptional customer service to all students, staff, faculty, and public. Responsible for accounts payable transactions and front end procedures. Assist in the promotional design and advertising for the MECC Bookstore, including web and social media updates/enhancements for the bookstore's e-commerce website and social media sites. Utilize monitoring tools and metrics to optimize web sales and social engagement.
High school graduate or GED. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of a retail store operation. Experience in the operation of cash registers. Ability to prepare accurate reports. Possess personal computer skills. Experience in utilizing social media platforms. Ability to lift and move boxes weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Ability to work well with others and provide excellent customer service.
