The Commercial Real Estate Leasing Associate will be responsible for sourcing new retail tenants, while negotiating and completing leases for properties. They are also responsible for canvassing and conducting site visits to ensure that vacant spaces are leased.
The Leasing Associate will:
Solicit and procure qualified prospective office and non-traditional retail for assets
Work with existing tenants regarding lease terms, which include renewals, extensions terminations, etc.
Work with corporate and client attorneys to assist in the negotiation and administration of legal documentation and related activity
Assist in the leasing game plan process and budgets with shopping center managers, accountants and asset managers
Present Confirmation of Business Terms for all deals with regards to checking for accuracy, credit worthiness, impact to the budget and evaluating the rent to sales ratio
Work with tenant coordination when requested to resolve construction issues
Execute Landlord’s action plans and strategies
Update deal status as requested for reporting purposes
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualified Applicants will have:
Bachelor's Degree in related field of study or combination of education and experience necessary to effectively perform the responsibilities of the position
3-4 years’ experience in office and non-traditional retail real estate, business law, finance and accounting principles
Strong knowledge of negotiations strategy; should possess strong analytical and communication skills
Basic computer literacy
Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
Effective interpersonal skills
Perform duties in a team-oriented work environment
