The Specialty Leasing Representative is responsible for locating, assessing, and growing the specialty leasing opportunities within the company’s assigned properties. The incumbent will develop, meet, and exceed budgeted revenue. They will optimize common area space and drive revenue opportunities through ancillary income by pursuing new prospective specialty merchants within local, regional, and national markets.
Identify potential tenants in the target market by canvassing and utilizing other business development techniques
Complete appropriate research and prospect tenants that would align with business goals.
Partner with management in negotiating lease agreements with tenants.
Assisting in identifying local tenants that can convert into permanent tenants.
Manage deal flow process.
Assist in collecting revenue.
Assist in collecting sales numbers from tenants.
Lead project teams with no initial direct reports
Maintain expected levels of prospective tenants.
Establish relationships with business contacts to ensure connections.
Accuracy and fast turnaround of leasing documents
Responsible for developing the temporary tenant and permanent kiosk budgets
Precise budgeting of revenue
Timely collection of bad debt
Solve standard problems by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment, and precedents.
Key in driving ancillary revenue and unique experiences in the shopping center.
Creating backup plans for unexpected vacancies within the Shopping Center prevents revenue loss.
Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
ICSC certifications in finance, leasing, or management preferred.
5+ years; Strong mathematical skills
Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own area of expertise while developing additional skill sets.
Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
Ability to travel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
