Our client, headquartered in Westchester County, NY, is a fully integrated, self-managed, and self-administered real estate investment trust. Through the company’s REIT and Opportunistic Fund investment platforms, our client is focused primarily on the acquisition, ownership, redevelopment, and management of retail properties, including neighborhood and community shopping centers, urban high-barrier-to-entry street retail, and mixed-use properties with retail components. Position Description: Our client is seeking an Analyst to join its Asset Management team. The Analyst will play an integral role in managing the financial performance of a portfolio of assets (core, value-add, and development strategies) and overseeing all aspects of business plan execution from acquisition through disposition. This is an interdisciplinary role that will require close collaboration with the company’s internal acquisitions, leasing, capital markets, legal, lease administration, construction, accounting, and property management teams. Additionally, the Analyst will be required to interface with external partners, consultants, contractors, attorneys, etc. on a regular basis. To further the Analyst's professional development, the Analyst will also participate in cross-training projects on an ongoing basis, as guided by the needs of the business, in areas such as capital markets (debt & equity) and FP&A. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain property financial models (Excel and Argus) on a regular basis to reflect leasing, financing, and other changes to the property business plan.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and external partners. Also, assist with the preparation of presentation materials.
- Assist in the financing and disposition processes.
- Represent the company to partners, lenders, government agencies, and other outside parties.
- Work across internal departments on new leases and oversee the execution of Landlord work in conjunction with our construction department. Including but not limited to:
- Prepare financial analysis of deal terms and impact on property-level returns to inform negotiations.
- Collaborate with the internal construction team to review work letters and budget any landlord work.
- Interface with Tenant’s team to negotiate work letter.
- Monitor budget and schedule of landlord work and tenant buildouts.
- Assist with assessing the feasibility of value-add, redevelopment, and development opportunities within the existing portfolio.
