About Borel Eye Doctors
Founded in 1987 by Marcie Arnesty, O.D, Borel Eye Doctors provide full-service optometry to families and residents in the Bay Area of all ages, insurances, visual and medical diagnoses. The dedicated team of Optometrists takes a one-on-one approach to preserve eye health and specializes in ocular disease detection, management and treatment, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management. The practice is centrally located in San Mateo in the Boreal Square Shopping Center, easily accessible to major freeways.
Borel Eye Doctors offers a modern and recently remodeled practice, providing comfortable areas for the professionals. The practice utilizes behind-the-scenes technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of ocular conditions. Fully suited with state-of-the-art optical exam technology, the technical support staff performs pretesting with an iVue optical coherence tomography, Optos iCare Tonometry, and Octopus 600 Perimeter. Patients will enjoy browsing an extensive collection of eyewear from the optical boutique that carries premium lenses and frames for all budgets--plus, the Opticians offer personalized support to select options for fashion, functionality, and lifestyle needs.
About the Associate Optometrist Position
The practice has an opening for a full-time Associate Optometrist who is passionate about providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. You'll provide primary eye care, eye examinations, and contact lens fittings. The current practice flow supports an average of eight comprehensive examinations daily. A candidate experienced in specialty contact lens fittings will be an asset to the team. This is a unique opportunity for you to see a wide variety of ocular conditions while spending quality time with patients, collaborating with talented professionals, working with efficient technical support staff, and building lasting patient relationships.
To be successful in this role, you must be people-oriented, demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate is a team player and will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services. You'll have the opportunity to contribute and implement new ways to enhance the business and clinical aspect of patient care--for the right Associate Optometrist, the opportunity to buy into the practice may be available.
Minimum qualifications include:
* Optometry license in the state of California * Comprehensive refractive skills * Experienced in ocular disease detection
