Our client is seeking a process-minded team leader responsible for managing all aspects of their Lease Administration department. The Director of Lease Administration will be responsible for supervising a staff of lease analysts and leading the department’s efforts to maintain the tenant lease database for the company’s portfolio of properties. The successful candidate will be an effective leader and project manager eager to implement new processes and embrace technology solutions to drive efficiencies within the department and beyond. This is a highly visible role with significant cross-functional interaction within the company.
Management and oversight of Lease Administration department including daily supervision, scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluation of lease analysts.
Track and maintain new lease document pipeline.
Responsible for the department’s timely and accurate entry of lease abstracts and files to effectively track all lease provisions, critical dates, and correspondence. Track and communicate key deadlines, key construction dates, and rent commencements.
Lead process changes to drive efficiencies with lease review, abstraction, and analysis processes.
Oversee tenant correspondence and collaborate with other departments (e.g., Leasing, Construction, Legal) where appropriate.
This position requires a highly organized, accurate, and detailed-oriented person with strong interpersonal skills to delegate and monitor an expansive amount of legal documentation among a staff of lease compliance analysts.
6-8 years of lease administration experience, working with all levels of management and employees.
A minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience.
Keen problem solving and research skills.
Excellent communicator, strategic thinker, mentor, and collaborative team player.
Ability to work well under pressure and resolve problems quickly.
