The Leasing Associate works directly with senior Leasing personnel to learn all aspects of the Leasing function including: Letter of Intent, lease forms, merchandising, budgets, pro-formas, Legal and Tenant Coordination collaboration and retailer’s business.
Essential Job Functions:
Enter deals into Yardi to produce Letters of Intent, Budgeting and Deal Submission.
Work alongside a senior Leasing manager learning how to merchandise a center.
Negotiate Letters of Intent.
Collaborate with Legal on lease comments to get documents executed.
Learn and assist in the annual budget process.
They take cold leasing calls.
Generate and screen leads.
Respond to sales or leasing inquiries.
Maintain frequent contact and build relationships with existing and potential client base.
Assist with lease renewals and new leases.
Assist with forecasting.
Assist with merchandising plan.
Work with other company departments including mall management teams, Accounting, Tenant Coordination and Lease Administration.
Assist in maintaining up-to-date lease plans.
Track tenant sales.
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of 1 year in retail, marketing and/or shopping center experience.
Comprehensive understanding of marketing and merchandising techniques.
Strong interpersonal and sales skills are necessary.
Flexibility in work schedule, as needed.
