Position Description: The Manager, Asset Management will be responsible to oversee the day-to-day function of the Asset Management team which encompasses Analyst/Senior Analyst’. In this capacity, the Manager will assign duties and workflow, disseminate information to their Asset Management team members, and is accountable for meeting the overall goals of the department.
Essential Job Functions:
Support annual and long-range strategic planning process at the property level. This includes attendance on monthly/quarterly leasing strategy and development meetings. As well as oversight/review of property forecast and budgeting processes.
Review and oversee accuracy of the Analysts/Senior Analyst’s work.
Interface with JV partners and take ownership of partnership projects ensuring that all projects are completed timely and accurately.
Act as liaison between executive team and JV partners.
Interface senior management personnel.
Perform special projects and assigned analysis as directed.
When required, perform the functions of the Analyst/Senior Analyst including:
Prepare, analyze and develop financial reports for planning, forecasting, trending and variance analysis to actual results on business performance.
Perform business, financial and operational analysis to impact results and support senior level decision-making.
Perform analysis of properties’ profit and loss statements to enhance quality of management decision making by identifying drivers of performance and opportunities for performance improvement.
Provide data regarding achievement of financial objectives and analyze business issues and opportunities.
Prepare weekly/monthly commentary, key company initiatives, business results and analysis for senior management.
Prepare complex business scenario models.
Assist Financial Analyst’s development through knowledge transfer, skills training and other support as required.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or mathematics required.
5-7 years of financial analysis and leadership experience
Understanding of the retail real estate business cycle including Development pro-formas, Entitlements, and Leasing preferred, but not required.
Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Advanced degree, CPA or MBA preferred, but not required.
Experience working with Argus, Yardi, Power BI preferred, but not required.
