We have an exciting opportunity for a uniquely skilled individual who is experienced in the realm of accounting, finance, and deal making to join our Asset Management team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, quick learner who demonstrates situational agility and a strong business acumen.
The AVP/VP of Financial Underwriting & Restructuring is responsible for overseeing tenant workouts and terminations, bankruptcy administration, tenant credit analysis, and accounts receivable/collections. In this capacity, the candidate will conduct all necessary due diligence and communicate recommendations to the Asset Management, Finance, Property Management, Legal, and Leasing teams as well as Company leadership.
What You’ll Do
Oversee and conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of credit, financial health, and tenancy status of new and existing tenants
Manage tenant lease workout and termination evaluations as well as pre-bankruptcy or bankruptcy status analyses and development of resolution strategy recommendations
Interface with internal and external senior management personnel and negotiate with tenant personnel, counsel, and consultants on tenant lease workouts, lease terminations, and bankruptcy administration
Consult and make recommendations to various stakeholders and Company leadership on tenant creditworthiness and collection strategies
Define, refine, and implement tenant credit, lease, and bankruptcy due diligence processes
Manage Analyst and Manager duties and deliverables
Limited domestic travel (up to 20%)

Your Key Success Attributes
10+ years of direct relevant experience conducting financial analysis, credit analysis, and financial due diligence; retail real estate experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Mathematics
Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business analysis, accounting and finance
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills
Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
