Reporting to the Manager, Facilities your role is to ensure LCBO facilities are operated and maintained cost-effectively, safely, and efficiently through practices in the areas of Facility Management, technology, cost management and reporting.
You will be the primary contact to our retail clients in the Northern Region of Ontario. Regular travel will be required.
You will support and co-ordinate preventative maintenance programs as well as capital projects concerning repairs and minor renovations while ensuring conformance to the LCBO strategic goals.
About the Role
Support all building systems and control strategies with an emphasis on mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, lighting, security and fire protection systems and equipment.
Provide technical support to Regional Directors, District Managers and Store Managers regarding store maintenance and repair services.
Prepare and issue tender documents for capital improvement projects that are aligned with Procurement practices.
Set capital budgets for these initiatives, schedule, monitors costs, construction, and contract close-out requirements.
Ensures that all work is performed in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Investigate building, environmental, and energy complaints related to the function and performance of a group of facilities.
Manage building life cycles and total asset management strategies.
Collaborate with landlords to support lease obligations.
This role may involve occasional after-hours work to provide support to retail stores during emergency situations.
About You
Customer-focused approach to solve problems in collaboration with stakeholders
Valid driver’s license.
Experience in Facility Management with knowledge of operations and maintenance, technical standards, financial processes, and administrative functions.
Established skills in project management, consultant management, tender process, and construction contract administration.
Working knowledge of relevant code and legislative requirements as it relates to Facility Management
Familiarity with the core principles of financial management as they apply to Facility Management.
Travel within the province, including occasional overnight stays, to support business needs.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a bonus
Position requires a degree/diploma/certification/designation in Facilities Management or equivalent education/facility related experience.
