We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our HR People Partner team. This position reports to a Director of People Partnering within our Global Occupier Services (GOS) business unit. Operating in a highly dynamic and transformative environment, this role will be the HR People Partner for our Lease Administration business as well as provide support to other leaders. This role will also assist in and contribute to HR projects and initiatives across the People Organization. The ideal candidate is solution oriented, organized, flexible and able to maintain a strict code of confidentiality. This candidate must have a demonstrated aptitude and desire for working well with people and jumping in to contribute in an agile and fast-paced environment.
Job Description
Build strong trusted partnerships within GOS business. Act as HR liaison to the business, trusted advisor and sounding board for managers, and direct employees on various human resources policies, procedures, laws, and state and federal regulations.
Work with leaders to understand their organization and people needs, executing on plans with actions aligning to the teamâ™s goals and HR objectives.
Provide day-to-day guidance to managers and employees (coaching, career development, disciplinary actions, policy interpretation)
Coach managers, create and execute talent initiatives.
Direct and manage tasks, programs, and projects both with the client and within HR.
Provide strategic consulting to field leadership and hiring managers regarding staffing needs, compensation, performance management, employee relations, policy compliance, training, etc. for their respective employee populations.
Conduct employee relations counseling, mediation, and investigations as well as handle employee grievances under the direction of Senior HR Management
Collaborates with local and national HR teams to implement policy updates, process improvements, streamline onboarding practices and provide training programs.
Build strong partnerships with the HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Management & Diversity, HR Shared Services, Employee Relations) to help implement all HR initiatives and strategies.
Collaborate with other People team members on projects as needed.
Manage other special projects on an as needed basis.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business or another related field
Minimum of 2+ years of HR Generalist experience with a diverse employee population, strong employee relations experience and demonstrated ability to exercise appropriate judgment.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail
Highly collaborative with clients and colleagues
Reliable knowledge of State and Federal employment law
Ability to analyze, prioritize, and delegate as needed.
Demonstrates leadership capabilities.
Ability to work independently, self-starter.
Ability to pursue PHR or SPHR (professional designation)
Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented.
Experience in real estate, financial or professional services a plus
Superior relationship skills
HRIS proficient (Workday a plus)
Coaching and dispute resolution skills
Strong business acumen
