About Larkspur Landing Optometry
Founded in 1997 by Dr. Gina Day, this practice offers full-service optometry to residents and families of Marin County and surrounding areas. Through the combination of expert care, advanced technology, and high-end products, patients can expect to receive a total eye care experience. The professionals offer an array of services, including eye health exams, ocular diseases management, glaucoma care, specialty contact lens, and pediatric eye care. The practice also has a strong focus on vision therapy for patients of all ages and visual diagnoses. To continue offering a high level of expert care, the practice is looking to add an Associate Optometrist to the team of two Optometrists and seven staff members.
The practice features state-of-the-art equipment to help ensure optimal eye health for all patients. The practice is fully equipped with diagnostic technology and utilizes a fundus camera, optical coherence tomography, and threshold visual fields. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of optical frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique. The Opticians provide personal assistance to help patients select the best frames for medical needs, lifestyle, appearance, and budget.
About the Associate Optometrist Opening
Larkspur Landing Optometry is seeking an Associate Optometrist passionate about offering individualized eye care solutions to ensure optimal eye health. You'll practice full-scope optometry, educate patients about their eye health, and recommend vision-enhancing products. Comprehensive exams are scheduled for 30 minutes and 15 minutes for follow-ups. A candidate interested in exploring vision therapy will be an asset to the team. The position is 8 to 40 hours weekly. For the right Associate Optometrist, a future partnership or ownership opportunity may be available.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Optometry license in the state of California
Preferred qualifications include:
- Possible interest in exploring vision therapy (not required)
